Tag Cloud Your Followers

Bild 13
Tag Cloud might have been one of the biggest buzz words during 2008. At TwitterSheep you can make a tag cloud out of your Twitter followers bios’. Quite simple..and well it just gives you a quick overview. Not very useful. Just for fun. :)

Is it a bird, is it a plane, no it’s a Starbucks

3768138167_a33dc7f34c
Everyone has an opinion on Starbucks. Whether you like them or not you most likely to pop by and get yourself a coffee when ever you need your cafeine fix. For us Europeans (or should I say Swedes?) the coffee from a Starbucks shop is a bit…well dull. And weak. But maybe they’ll change that since they bought the Cloverfield machine.

Anyway. Seems like Starbucks finally picked up on the ‘local-going-back-to-the-roots’ trend. Setting up the very first coffee shop like ‘The Central Perk’ in Friends. Being around the corner, like a second home when ever you need it.

Last Friday a cute new coffee shop opened in Seattle, dubbed “15th Avenue E Coffee and Tea”–it’s one of those unique places that are being beaten out of business by big nasty Starbucks. Wait a second, it is a Starbucks.

So it says ‘Inspired by Starbucks’ in the window. But hey, what normal coffee shop owner would put up a text like that in the window? Of course Starbucks themselves. So this seems to be a new way of branding for Starbucks, making undercover stealth shops. They’ve always been good in listening to their customers, which made their community ‘My Starbucks Idea‘ really successful.

Well we most certainly haven’t seen the last attempt on stealth marketing. WHo will be next out on doing something like this? Do you have an example, get it into the comments and we’ll discuss it further.

Everyone is tweeting nowadays, eh?

3706760751_e0accdc4c5-480x397

It might seem so. But in fact, nothing could be more wrong. If you’re one of those with a Twitter account, you probably follow, let’s say 103 people. Probably more. Anyway, then you also know that there’s only a few of them that actually make any noise on a daily basis. Have a look at the clever illustration “If Twitter was 100 people” at top. Pretty much says everything. So don’t worry if you have an account and don’t tweet your head off.

Lacoste Dot Fade

LACOSTE-IBIZA-FADE-pink-yellow-646-1

Seems like Lacoste been doing everything right lately. First they released their new and funky web site. And now their putting out their Dot Fade Collection. It’s the two models Ibiza and Carnaby that been totally rasterized where two colors nicely meet up. To launch it they made a smart animation showing the simplicity in the dots. We like it.

Interesting Ink Calender

The ink will slowly color each day of the month as time passes by. My first reaction was, I want one. I love the idea and think a live calender would be pretty neat to have.

The aim of the project is to address our senses, rather than the logical and conscious brain.

Designer: Oscar Diaz. Unfortunately it’s not available for purchase. But can be seen on display as part of SUEÑOS DE UN GRIFO. Diseño con alma de agua at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, 17 July – 11 October 2009.
